What is a psychopath?
Psychopaths are often thought of as people with severe antisocial personality disorder. According to the NHS, the condition is described as “Specially challenging personality disorder,” which includes impulsive actions irresponsible decision making and often criminal behavior’
The NHS also makes it clear that people with antisocial personality disorder are often controlling, manipulative, reckless, show little or no regard for the feelings of others. and can exploit, influence, or harm others without feeling guilty or remorseful Additionally, they often struggle with controlling their anger and tend to blame others for their problems. Ultimately, their behavior is very annoying and undeniably unpleasant.

However, it is important to recognize that many factors can lead to violent or criminal behavior. The presence of some of these symptoms does not automatically identify a person with psychosis. Diagnosed psychopath reveals the common human action that might show someone is one. This is an example of emotional disconnection and lack of empathy seen in psychopaths. Let us elaborate:
Avoidance of Funerals
Cause of Avoidance: He cannot grasp the emotional heaviness of the current situation. For instance, he would not attend funerals, even of very close family. Most would consider a funeral as the final gesture of respect to the deceased and a place where those who have lost someone receive comfort from one another. The event means very little to him, as he neither experiences nor understands the shared grief.
Viewpoints of Others: His contention, “It is not my problem they feel that way,” indicates that he does not care for their emotional experiences. It best typifies psychopathic-callousness, a person’s disregard for the emotions and wellness of others.
Approach for Comfort to a Grieving Friend
No Emotional Comfort: His reply conveys coldly rational disapprobation instead of demonstrating empathy or emotional reassurances. Crying and grieving are impractical and do not solve any problems-he will not do so, which will reveal his inability to process emotions at a deeper level.
Intellectualizing Emotions: “What would they want you to do instead?” further underscores that he interprets emotions logically as problems to be discussed.
Emotional Disconnect
The emotional disconnect is experienced quite keenly with psychopathy. Chances are that in most such cases, a psychopath may have earned a natural craving to exhibit emotion towards others with some perceived reality shock. Psychopaths are able to digest emotions, particularly when others are genuinely concerned, as if they mean literally nothing to them. Psychopaths have such an extreme disconnect with this emotion that they are highly likely to be able to form deep intellectual speculations about emotions at face value, without internalizing or relating a personal experience with the emotion.
In essence, this is the way in which this young man’s behavior manifests the psychopath.
